{"id":1528,"date":"2022-02-17T14:18:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-17T14:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/incargo.news\/en\/?p=1528"},"modified":"2023-02-16T12:44:12","modified_gmt":"2023-02-16T12:44:12","slug":"positive-balance-for-the-valentines-day-period-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/incargo.news\/en\/positive-balance-for-the-valentines-day-period-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Positive balance for the Valentine\u2019s Day period 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>LATAM CARGO DOUBLES ITS OFFER DURING THE VALENTINE\u2019S DAY PERIOD, TRANSPORTING MORE THAN 15,500 TONS OF FLOWERS FROM COLOMBIA AND ECUADOR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>By adding capacity, the company transported 16% more fresh flowers compared to last year\u2019s season.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Flowers were shipped from Bogota, Medellin and Quito to the main consumption markets, notably North America and Europe.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>February 17, 2022<\/strong>.- LATAM Cargo carried more than 15,500 tons of fresh flowers from Colombia and Ecuador during the 2022 Valentine\u2019s Day season, equivalent to a 16% increase compared to the previous season (13,200 tons).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This positive result was made possible by doubling the regular offer in order to face the high demand created between January 17 and February 6 on occasion of the Valentine\u2019s Day celebration, one of the peak flower export period together with Mother\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cWe owe this positive result to our ongoing collaborative work with our vendors and customers, reflecting their trust in our services during a critical period for their business. We spent weeks of intense planning to come up with solutions of excellence for their businesses in terms of capacity, operation and service,\u201d commented Desir\u00e9e Arambur\u00fa, International Sales Manager of LATAM Cargo for Colombia and Ecuador.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 260 LATAM Cargo flights took off from Bogota, Medellin and Quito, transporting fresh flowers to the main consumption destinations. In Colombia, the offer doubled from 28 to 56 frequencies during the peak season, totaling 9,200 tons of flowers, mostly roses, carnations and chrysanthemums, destined for Miami, from where they were distributed across North America.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Ecuador, the company almost tripled its offer, moving from the usual 11 frequencies to 33 during the Valentine\u2019s Day season. This increase allowed carrying more than 6,340 tons of flowers, notably roses and mini roses, to Miami (USA) and Amsterdam (Netherlands).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cDuring this year, the company will receive three cargo aircraft as part of the growth plan announced in 2021.
